Friends of Dines Green

Friends of Dines Green is our community and school parents association. They are a group of parents and staff who work very hard to regularly organise and help out in order to raise funds for the school. Events they have organised this year include disco's, film clubs and various raffles / sales. They also provide refreshments and support during such events as performances, sports day and the fete. Some of the items they fund would otherwise not be possible to purchase as school funds do not always cover everything. Their work is entirely voluntary and always very much appreciated.

FoDG raised a significant amount of money last year due to the popularity of events. Some of the items they have funded are:

  • A defibrillator for the new first aid station
  • Games and equipment for the new THRIVE area
  • A theatre group performance of a Pantomime in school
  • Gazebo's for the outside areas
  • A bowling party for the 98% attenders
  • Transport for the year 6 leavers trip

Past FoDG funds have provided:

  • Outdoor play equipment
  • Forest school equipment
  • New DJ equipment

If you feel you can be part of any of these FoDG events or can help in any way, if you have skills you would like to improve on, or if you just want some experience then please speak to any of the members. We value any help and ideas for future events.
